They are available for families who need assistance with the care of their loved one for a limited time period.
Whether you are transitioning from a hospital stay, need temporary support after an illness, require a safe environment while your primary caregiver is away, your primary caregiver needs a break, or you are in need of hospice, our short-term residency provides immediate access to high-quality care.
Key Details for Your Stay:
- Low Commitment: Stays are available for a minimum of 8 days. There is no long-term commitment required.
- Full Amenities: Guests receive the same high-quality amenities as permanent residents.

How do my loved one or I qualify for a Respite Stay at Friends Home?
These short-term stays are available for temporary needs across every level of care, whether for post-hospital recovery, temporary support after an illness, hospice, or when the primary caregiver needs a break.
The stay requires no long-term commitment.
How do I schedule a Respite Stay, and what is the typical duration?
Scheduling is flexible and easy; simply contact our Admissions Director at (610) 444-2577 ext. 202.
Stays are available for a minimum of 8 days. We also offer weekend and evening tours to accommodate your planning needs.
Are there any medical conditions that Friends Home cannot accommodate?
To ensure the safety and well-being of all residents in our intimate setting, we must focus on high-quality, personalized care that fits our environment.
Our facilities are not equipped to provide continuous care for residents requiring ventilator dependency.
Additionally, we cannot accommodate individuals with significant psychiatric issues that could result in them being harmful to themselves or to others.

A goal-oriented, clinical transition for those who have completed hospital rehabilitation but are not yet ready to return home.
