Integrated Dementia Care FAQs
Are there any medical conditions that Friends Home cannot accommodate?
To ensure the safety and well-being of all residents in our intimate setting, we must focus on high-quality, personalized care that fits our environment.
Our facilities are not equipped to provide continuous care for residents requiring ventilator dependency.
Additionally, Friends Home cannot accommodate individuals with significant psychiatric issues that could result in them being harmful to themselves or to others.
Are activities still available for residents at Friends Home with high medical needs?
Yes. Our approach is based on the Montessori Living model, ensuring personalized engagement and familiar daily routines within the family-style setting.
Activities are adapted to support dignity and promote wellness, regardless of medical need.
What makes the Montessori-Inspired Lifestyle unique?
The Friends Home Montessori-Inspired Lifestyle program focuses on empowering residents with daily, repetitive, hands-on experiences that build confidence and foster independence.
Our programming philosophy facilitates involvement with the KSQ community, including volunteering, club participation, and engagement.
