Skilled Nursing Care FAQs
Are there any medical conditions that Friends Home cannot accommodate?
To ensure the safety and well-being of all residents in our intimate setting, we must focus on high-quality, personalized care that fits our environment.
Our facilities are not equipped to provide continuous care for residents requiring ventilator dependency.
Additionally, Friends Home cannot accommodate individuals with significant psychiatric issues that could result in them being harmful to themselves or to others.
Are activities still available for residents at Friends Home with high medical needs?
Yes. Our approach is based on the Montessori Living model, ensuring personalized engagement and familiar daily routines within the family-style setting.
Activities are adapted to support dignity and promote wellness, regardless of medical need.
What does the Friends Home admissions process look like for future Skilled Nursing Care residents?
Residents coming into Linden Hall, our licensed 20-bed nursing home, will not need to complete a pre-admission assessment or medical evaluation.
They are also exempt from the one-time admissions fee. For more details, see our Application Process page.
