Independent Living FAQs

Do Friends Home residents have access to Kennett Square and the surrounding area?

Yes. Our apartments feature a private entrance, and our prime location means you are just steps from the heart of historic Kennett Square.

You’ll be within walking distance of local shops, dining, the library, and the YMCA.

What is the financial commitment for Independent Living at Friends Home?

Unlike many communities, the fee structure at Friends Home in Kennett is built on an affordable, pure-rental model.

Other than the $5,000 admission fee, fees are based on your Room and Board and any additional service or ancillary costs.

For more information, see our Financial Details page.

What makes the Montessori-Inspired Lifestyle unique?

The Friends Home Montessori-Inspired Lifestyle program focuses on daily, repetitive, hands-on experiences that build confidence and foster independence.

Our programming philosophy facilitates involvement with the KSQ community, including volunteering, club participation, and engagement.
