Welcoming Diversity

Friends Home’s Commitment Statement

The Friends’ belief that “there is that of God in every person” leads to the belief in human equality. We cherish differences among individuals regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, handicaps, or sexual orientation, and actively seek ways to encourage efforts to overcome prejudices and antagonisms. The expectation that all people will be treated with respect and without prejudice at Friends Home in Kennett is articulated and supported by the Board, the staff, and the residents. Through our committees of residents, staff, and Board members, we encourage diversity and celebrate the many faiths, ethnic groups, and cultures represented both at Friends Home and within the greater community.
