Supportive Independent Living

Friends Home – Supportive Independent Living – Garden Court

For persons who choose the convenience of living in the historic main building, our “supportive care” approach offers assistance when needed but honors our residents’ independence. Prospective Garden Court residents will have a medical and cognitive screening. Persons having minimal or no care needs, may be perfect candidates for Garden Court.

Garden Court is a wing on the lower level of the main building with access to the resident’s parking lot as well as a private full kitchen to satisfy the urge to bake or cook. Residents in Garden Court enjoy all the amenities of Friends Home including all meals, housekeeping and laundry; all rooms are cable-ready and have complimentary Wi-Fi.

Small pets are welcome on a case-by-case basis when the resident can provide total care for the pet. Residents must have a plan for care when they will be away from the campus.

Garden Court residents live independently in the historic Main Building

  • Garden Court #1, 3, 6 are one bedroom
  • Garden Court #5 is a spacious studio apartment
    • All are: $2500 month (plus care when needed).

(Monthly Rates as of January 1, 2019)

One time community fee: $4000, for permanent residents.

When more physical and/or memory care is needed, Garden Court residents are invited to move to the Personal Care apartments on floor 1 and 2 and have first priority for available rooms.
